Metrocenter Mall and I-17 are just 2 miles away, and SR-51 can be reached in just a few minutes ride to the east. Grocery stores can be found nearby at Hatcher and Cave Creek Roads, Peoria and 35th Avenues, Thunderbird Road and 7th Street, and at 19th and Northern Avenues. New Water Meter transmitters installed
You may have noticed activity at your water meter box recently. The City of Phoenix has installed new Automatic Meter Reading equipment on the water meters on our street. These low-power electronic transmitters allow city workers to read meters using an antenna and portable computer or other data-capture device, rather than the manual process of reading a dial and recording a number. The electronic method should result in more accurate meter readings, and fewer errors - such as mixing up one customer's reading with another customer's.
While it is expected that the newer meter equipment will provide accurate meter readings, it is possible that could mean a change in your typical water bill, if the old meter was not accurately measuring your water useage. If you notice a substantial change in your water bill though, you should call Water Services at 602-262-6251 to have your meter checked for malfunctions.
Installation of these new metering devices is a city-wide project, and will take several years to complete the conversion of over 400,000 meters. If you have questions about the new meters, you can call the City of Phoenix Water Services Customer Service at 602-262-6251.

Summer - time for relaxation and Grilling
Summer finds the thermometer climbing again, and what better way to celebrate summer termperatures than with a barbecue. Our community has one common feature available to residents - a permanent charcoal grill and picnic area, located at west side of the cul de sac at the end of our street near the top of the hill. This common area is for the use and enjoyment of all residents. If you use this area, please be considerate of neighboring units and do not block their driveways.
Unfortuately, this community amenity has not been maintained by the community homeowner's association. Since this group has failed to maintain this community feature, as a courtesy to community residents, the Block Watch team will soon be repairing this community feature. Have a safe and enjoyable summer!
Remember, there is NO PARKING on our narrow street! City service vehicles (as well as Emergency vehicles) may not be able to navigate our street if it is congested with parked cars. Remember: the only allowed exception to the parking regulation is commercial service vehicles in the course of providing services to a unit, during normal business hours.
